Lambron Castle Whiskey
Objective. Our goal in designing the packaging for this Armenian whiskey was to create a modern brand identity rooted in deep history. Lambron Castle, founded in the 11th century, was the ancestral fortress of the Armenian Hetumid royal dynasty. The packaging draws inspiration from the heraldry of the House of Lambron.

Concept. The name Lambron Castle Whiskey pays homage to a real historical fortress with a legacy spanning nearly a thousand years. This connection is reflected in the branding—featuring the coat of arms of the House of Lambron, a knightly pennant, and a brief historical reference. Yet, the design remains contemporary: instead of Gothic fonts, we opted for a sleek, modern grotesque, reinforcing the whiskey’s premium positioning.

Execution. The core concept is a bottle wrapped in a pennant. The central visual element—the heraldic lion of the House of Lambron—appears twice: on the main label-pennant, covering the upper third of the bottle, and on the neck label.
The center of the label provides key product details: filtration level, blend, aging, alcohol content, and volume. A brief historical note about Lambron Castle is also included. The handwritten inscription The legendary enhances the perception of time-honored quality.

Label colors indicate aging: from light yellow (3 years) to deep black (8 years). The pennant design features a heraldic cross pattern in a lighter or darker shade of the main color, adding a refined historical touch.
